Our Story: A Journey of Faith, Fire, and Fulfillment
The Seed of a Vision
The story of Cloven Tongues of Fire International Church (CTOFIC) began long before our doors opened in Winnipeg. As far back as 2013, a prophetic word was spoken by Revd. Olufemi Louis Ogundare, declaring that this ministry would one day carry a global mandate with a specific destination: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
For years, that vision was carried in prayer. In 2016, our lead pastor was instructed by the Lord to continue serving and driving his spiritual father to crusades, remaining in a season of preparation and service for seven years. It was a time of refining—learning the weight of the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit.
A Divine Confirmation
The turning point came in July 2021. During an Online Healing Crusade broadcast from Akure, Nigeria, the voice of the Lord came expressly, revealing the name of the ministry: “Cloven Tongues of Fire International Church.”
What happened next was nothing short of miraculous. Just 24 hours after the vision for the church was birthed, a letter arrived from the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP). After years of waiting, the door to Canada swung wide open at the exact moment the spiritual vision was solidified.

From Nigeria to Winnipeg
In fulfillment of this divine assignment, the journey from Nigeria to Canada took place on July 19, 2023. Landing in Winnipeg on July 20th, the mission was clear: to rekindle the fire of revival in a new land.
After a year of prayer, planning, and preparation, we officially launched our physical on-site church meetings on June 30, 2024, at our current home on Cottonwood Road.

Today, Cloven Tongues of Fire International Church Canada stands as a testament to God’s faithfulness. We are a community of believers dedicated to:

We aren’t just building a church; we are building a movement of people on fire for God, ready to transform Canada and the nations beyond.
Pastor Afolabi Agbola
Pastor Afolabi Agbola was ordained as a minister of the gospel 14years ago; ever since, he has been tremendously serving his generation as a pastor with prophetic unction in his various Ministrations.
He has been serving in Cloven Tongues of Fire Ministry – an evangelistic ministry, which is based in Akure where he has been frequently enlisted to take active roles in crusades across Nigeria, and beyond for foreign Missions.
In July 2023, he relocated with his family to Winnipeg-Manitoba in Canada as a permanent resident in the fulfillment of the vision of God for him and being commissioned by his spiritual parents to pioneer Cloven Tongues of Fire International Church in Canada.
He is married to his one and only beautiful wife Esther Agbola, who he fondly calls AYABA and supports him faithfully in the work of the ministry.
The marriage is blessed with two amazing boys, Victory and Godsglory.
He has known his spiritual parents for over 16years now.
